Whangarei's Te Matau a Pohe rolling bascule bridge on the north island of New Zealand recently reached the significant milestone of 10,000 operations. Whangarei's councillors, council staff and operating contractors all gathered together for the ceremonial 10,000th lift since its official opening in July 2013.
