We’re pleased to extend a warm welcome to Ben Crookes who has recently joined the Eadon team.

Ben joins us as a Mechanical Engineer having gained three years of engineering experience working at Caterpillar where he worked on a range of construction machinery projects.

Before that, he studied at the University of Sheffield where he completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Ben’s passion for engineering stems from his love of cycling. “I’ve always had bikes and I used to enjoy taking them to pieces and putting them back together again,” he explains. “I’ve always enjoyed the more creative side of design as well. So it was these interests, as well as a natural aptitude for maths and physics that led me to engineering.”

“I was drawn to Eadon because of the opportunity to work on diverse and creative projects,” he said. After hearing positive things from a former university coursemate, Jack Harker, who also works at Eadon, Ben knew it would be an ideal place to further develop his skills. He is currently working on the Reach Project, contributing to the prototype phase of various modules.

Outside of work, Ben is an avid cyclist and enjoys mountain biking and road cycling. He also likes to stay fit through running and completed the Manchester Marathon earlier this year.

We’re thrilled to have Ben on the team and look forward to seeing him contribute to our ongoing projects.
