The iconic Humber Bridge will tonight be the topic of conversation on this week’s episode of Britain’s Greatest Bridges.

The hour long, Channel 5 programme will look at the design, history and current stature of the iconic Yorkshire suspension bridge and will look back to its inception over 30 years ago.

Eadon Consulting will be watching with interest after we were involved with the design of the replacement A-Frame support bearings for the bridge after they became worn. Our Engineers also worked on the design of the high level platforms required to carry out the majority of the works for the Humber Bridge Main Cable Dehumidification Project, which was executed by The Spencer Group.

The popular series has travelled around Britain looking at other bridges including Tower Bridge, the Clifton Suspension Bridge and the Forth Road Rail Bridge.
