We are pleased to announce that at the Institute of Structural Engineers’ (IStructE) Yorkshire Awards 2017 we were awarded the Best Medium Structures by a Small Company award for the Sandsend Mule project.

The project involved the detailed design and CE marking of a bespoke machine used by Balfour Beatty to install costal defence revetments as part of the Sandsend costal defence project.

The machine enabled Balfour Beatty to avoid extensive disruption to the road traffic coming into and out of Sandsend and also improve efficiency and safety of revetment installation.
