Eadon Consulting attends the 46th NIA Decommissioning and Radwaste Working Group

Eadon Consulting is in an excellent position to assist with the generation of solutions for Nuclear Decommissioning and Radioactive Waste projects and are able to draw on experience gained from a wide range of industry sectors

Nuclear Decommissioning and Radioactive Waste management is a hot topic. The efficient and safe decommissioning of Nuclear facilities and the disposal of Nuclear waste is important not only to existing facilities, our ability to deal with these issues will have an impact on the successful planning for Nuclear new build. The industry needs simple, intrinsically safe, innovative solutions to bring decommissioning projects in on time and within budget. 

The Nuclear Industry Association (NIA) organise Decommissioning and Radwaste Working Groups to provide a forum for discussions and to enable updates to be presented by Industry leaders. The 46th working group was held on the 10th February 2011 at the offices of Hyder Consulting in Bristol and included a number of excellent presentations, for example a presentation was given by Magnox Ltd regarding the merger or re-integration of Magnox North and Magnox South and what this will mean for its supply chain.
