Eadon’s Finance Manager, Gareth Hunt, and Engineer, Harry Barnard, took part in a ‘Speed Networking’ event at Longley Park Sixth Form College last week. Held as part of Sheffield City Council’s ‘See It Be It’ campaign, the event gave around 40 students the chance to engage with industry professionals and explore various career paths.

The day featured a mix of personal career storytelling with structured speed networking, allowing students to ask the professionals about their career journeys and gain valuable insights. “The students really valued the chance to speak with us all about their careers. It gave them an opportunity to start thinking seriously about their own career paths and the steps they might take in the future,” said Gareth.

The ‘See It Be It’ campaign aims to raise young people’s aspirations and bring the world of work to life by connecting them with local employers for meaningful career experiences.

Eadon is committed to supporting early careers initiatives and looks forward to participating in future events through the ‘See It Be It’ campaign.
