Eadon Welcomes Liam Rudge

Eadon Consulting welcomes Liam Rudge who joined the team in April of 2019. He arrives having spent the majority of his career in the materials handling sector. Liam has 14 years’ experience working for Siemens VAI, Lechler, Philford Design Engineers & SCX Special Projects. During this time he has gained a lot of experience, from intricate machined components through to large structural fabrications.
Liam is a mechanical designer and lead draughtsman who has a wide experience in many sectors including; materials and mechanical handling, power station components, equipment for the steel and mining industries and large fabrications.
Most recently he brings design and drafting experience from SCX Special Projects where he worked on both standard and nuclear cranes for AWE, Rolls Royce & BAE Systems.
Liam’s expertise and experience was utilised to assist Drax power station in replacing a number of Conveyor systems, Coal chutes and Biomass systems at the Selby site. As part of a specialist team of designers Liam’s CAD skills were used to design, develop and integrate whole systems into complex interfaces with existing equipment / systems. Liam has also spent many hours on site taking measurements, helping coordinate the on-site installation and reverse engineering existing products.
At Eadon Liam’s role is to lead the drafting teams, both in terms of ensuring the high quality of output that our clients have come to expect and also to aid with the development of the rest of the Eadon team and their knowledge of 3D modelling and 2D drawing.
