We are pleased to welcome Josh Pocock, who has recently joined the Eadon team as a Graduate Engineer.

Josh studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Sheffield. As part of his degree, he completed a year in industry with the Mechanical Engineering team at Cummins in Daventry, where he gained experience working on production line projects, including lifting equipment, trolleys, jigs, and tooling.

Engineering always seemed a natural fit for Josh. “I did a GCSE in Engineering at school and really enjoyed it,” he said. “I’ve always liked problem-solving and having something to show for what I’ve done at the end of it.”

Josh is looking forward to the wide range of projects he’ll have the opportunity to work on at Eadon. “I haven’t worked on structural projects like bridges before, so it’ll be great to get involved with new things like that,” he said. “I’ve only been here a short while, but already I’m appreciating the more personal and collaborative atmosphere that an SME like Eadon offers – you’re more than just a small gear in a big machine. The environment is really friendly and welcoming.”

Looking to the future, Josh aims to broaden his skills by taking on more projects and working toward his goal of becoming a Chartered Engineer.

Outside of work, he enjoys staying active by playing football and running. He’s also an avid baker – a hobby sure to be a hit in the Eadon office!
