Eadon Welcomes Katie Dash

Katie has joined Eadon as our Operations Manager. This is a new role, created to support current and future growth of the business as we transition from a flat structure to a more complex organisation, with improved and strengthened operations and systems. We are happy to have Katie on board working with us and our teams to support the next phase of that growth journey.
With an academic background in biological science and a subsequent career mapped through research, funding and operational management in the sphere where advanced manufacturing meets academia, Katie is excited to take a step into the world of an SME. However, this isn’t her first encounter with Eadon, “I’ve worked with Jim Hill previously, supporting Eadon in a grant-writing exercise. I got to know the company a little then, and so when a position came up in a role where I could develop my skillset and help to support the business, that sounded really exciting. I have an interest in how policy can drive innovation and development within STEM sectors – and this role focuses on just that.”
Katie’s career to date has a strong leaning toward learning and personal growth, and when asked how she was hoping to develop through her work at Eadon, she said “I’m looking forward to getting some broader industry experience across the range of sectors that Eadon works within, including the work they undertake internationally. I’ll be bringing my experience from previous roles and businesses into the team whilst supporting the business at a more senior level.”
Katie explained that the interview process further cemented her belief that Eadon is a supportive business, with a culture that encourages development opportunities for all employees and whose core values align with her own.
Katie has stepped into a role which will be extremely demanding from the outset, and with a great deal to take on and learn from the existing team she will need to hit the ground running. First on her agenda will be business strategy and planning, policy development, as well as the management of Eadon’s quality systems and IT infrastructure.
When not knee-deep in policy and operations, Katie can be found mostly outdoors – walking her dogs, mountain biking or even doing outdoor fitness classes (although this is looking less appealing with shorter, colder days around the corner!) – and to warm back up, she loves cooking.
