Eadon welcomes Ollie Harrison

Ollie came to us from a background in heavy metals where he worked on internal processes, forming initial concepts and detailed designs before implementing them on-site. However, having had an interest in the areas of science and maths from a young age, Ollie wanted to ensure that his mechanical engineering qualifications were enabling him to focus in on his design skills – and the design engineering role at Eadon will allow him to do just that.
Ollie was drawn to the role at Eadon in part because it is a consultancy business, and so the whole team are working on design projects, often solving problems using combined skillsets. He said of the move to Eadon, ‘I’m really pleased to be able to work on such a wide range of projects and industry sectors. It makes the work interesting and allows for continuous learning and development.’ He is particularly keen to get involved in nuclear engineering projects and is already working on the lifting frame for our Capsa nuclear waste storage tank.
Ollie has already settled into the role, but more importantly is enjoying working with the team, many of whom have similar backgrounds through the University of Sheffield.
When not designing mechanical engineering solutions, Ollie can be found drumming in a heavy metal band or, more recently, learning bass guitar.
