Bruce Katz, a former advisor to US President Barack Obama, is currently visiting Sheffield and Rotherham.

An expert on the role of cities in growing the economy Katz’s visit will be centred around time spent at The Advanced Manufacturing Park and Research Centre where he will lead discussions on how Rotherham and Sheffield can further develop their success in using technology-driven services and advanced manufacturing to drive the city region’s economy.

It is hoped that his visit – the first in a number of planned events across the region – will help showcase Sheffield and provide opportunities for business leaders to make global connections.
