On International Women in Engineering Day, Senior Engineer Consuelo Bottamedi gives a brief insight into her passion for engineering and what being an Engineer means to her.

Becoming an engineer has been one of the best choices of my life. It has allowed me to use my great passion for maths to make the difference to society.

It is 5 years since I have joined Eadon. Here I have grown personally and professionally surrounded by a supportive and friendly team.

Currently I am working on several projects. One of the projects that I am particularly enjoying is the role of Project Lead for the design of the operating equipment for a movable bridge in Bermuda. It has been amazing to follow this project from the first sketches and to design the mechanical components that will make it move in such a marvellous landscape.
