We are very pleased to announce that the Lille Langebro pedestrian and cycle bridge in the heart of Copenhagen has won the Award for best Footbridge or lightweight structure at the IStructE 2021 Awards. We are even more pleased to announce that the Lille Langebro bridge was joint Supreme Award for Excellence in Engineering at the same award ceremony, shared with Holmes Consulting for their work in the repair and strengthening of the Christchurch Townhall in New Zealand following the 2010 and 2011 earth quakes.

Eadon Consulting collaborated very closely with structural engineers Buro Happold, architects Wilkinson Eyre and landscape designers Urban Agency.

It was great that the project was recognised for the efforts that all team members put into the project and the innovative solution that was created to enable the architectural vision to be realised. We are very proud of the bridge and also the awards it has received since opening in 2019.
