Eadon Consulting have reached a pivotal point in one of our biggest nuclear projects to date. Our Design Engineers have completed the final detailed design review for a piece of bespoke nuclear handling and inspection equipment, which is now nearing the end of its 18 month design period.

The review took an in-depth look at all aspects of the project, paying particular attention to calculations and the detailed manufacturing drawings, especially a detailed assessment of the seismic analysis and also time history analysis of the structure. The review also brought together other aspects of the project, looking at areas from the basic engineering principles behind the design to safety considerations and checks.

Although nearing the end of our involvement with the design stage our engineers will continue to work closely with the wider project team to support the manufacturing of the equipment.
