Queensferry Crossing opens to the public – how we helped

This week sees the eagerly awaited opening of the Queensferry Crossing bridge, the new link across the Firth of Forth. At a cost of £1.35 billion it is the largest infrastructure project to take place in Scotland for a generation.
Eadon Consulting are proud to have played a small but significant part in the construction of the bridge by way of providing design, checking and inspection services for both the main span temporary underdeck movable gantries and the access gantries to the bridge viaduct piers.
The bridge has no pedestrian walkway, however this Sunday Eadon Director David Price will be joining the thousands of people from Scotland and around the world in the once in a lifetime opportunity to cross the 1.7 mile structure on foot in the Queensferry Crossing Experience. David will then attend the bridges official opening by HM The Queen on 4 September, fittingly, exactly 53 years to the day when she opened the Forth Road Bridge.
