Today (3rd June 2019) saw the preview of the Thames Barrier Bridge as part of the Royal Academy of Arts 2019 Summer Exhibition.

We have been assisting architects Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands and marine engineers Beckett Rankine with their proposal for a new pedestrian and cycle bridge next to the Thames barrier. The proposed bridge provides significantly improved transport links across the Thames in a location that affords smaller opening spans when compared to options further down stream.

For now the project is part of the Academy of Arts 2019 Summer Exhibition but developers and stakeholders are being consulted to progress the project to the next stage.
