The replacement Tower Road lift bridge in Birkenhead was raised for the first time on 25th April 2018. This marks a key milestone in progressing the project currently being built by lead contractor Dawnus. The first lift was carried out to check the alignment of the rolling track and also to enable vessels to continue to use the dock having been blocked entry for several days as part of the planned construction works.
