Cley Floodgates
TEMA Engineering won the contract to replace the existing Cley Floodgates on behalf of the Environment Agency. The design of the gates was fully developed by the client with the exception of the mounting for the hydraulic drive rams and the locking mechanism to hold the gate open (the two mechanical aspects of the automated gate).

Steelwork fabricator and installer TEMA Engineering appointed Eadon Consulting to produce the detailed design and supporting calculation pack for the gate actuating ram mountings and the locking mechanisms. The ram mounts and locking mechanisms were designed to BS 2573-2.
