The project involved the detailed design of series of stop logs used to close off the inlets to an electro-mechanical pumping station on the Blue Nile River.

The grapple beam utilised a series of mechanical latches to enable the beam to be primed before being lowered down the guide slots in the civils works and automatically gripping the top surface of the stop log.
