The Twin Sails Bridge, Poole Harbour officially opened to vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists on the 4th April 2012. Eadon staff have been involved with the project since its inception in 2002 when the competition was originally won. Eadon has helped the main contractor Hochtief Construction (UK) with the delivery of the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment for this unique double bascule bridge.

Selby Rail Swing Bridge Refurbishment
Selby Swing Bridge has undergone an extensive structural refurbishment as part of Network Rail’s programme of upgrade works. Initially prompted by inconsistencies with the bridges rotating span, Eadon Consulting were approached by Pell Frischmann to develop an understanding of the issues which were leading to fundamental impediments to the bridge’s function.
Junction Lock Swing Bridge Refurbishment
Junction Lock Swing Bridge is a historic highway bridge with two carriageways, each with a pedestrian walkway. It is a riveted construction, weighing 650 tonnes dating from 1925. As part of the Bristol City Docks Operating Infrastructure Project, the operating mechanism for Junction Lock Swing Bridge has been upgraded. The previous system, which used water hydraulics, has been replaced by a modern oil hydraulic system.
Lower Hatea Te Matau a Pohe Bascule Bridge
The Lower Hatea River crossing, formally known as Te Matau a Pohe, is a rolling bascule bridge located within the city of Whangarei, Northland, New Zealand. Completed in 2013, the crossing provides an alternative option for traffic travelling around the city, helping to ease congestion. The bridge is the only operational one of its kind in New Zealand and one of a very few for road traffic in the world.
