Bespoke Machinery Design and Analysis

We are experts in the design and analysis of bespoke mechanical design solutions across a wide range of applications from items small enough to fit in your hand through to large machines. Our experience has included mechanical handling equipment, specialist test rigs and process equipment. Our diverse knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems, combined with our understanding of structures enables us to develop integrated solutions from concept through to detailed manufacturing drawings. This ensures that a fully integrated, safe and reliable solution is developed.

We regularly work with product and equipment suppliers, helping them to either optimise an existing design or develop a new product. We are able to adapt to become an integral part of their design process, whilst also being able to offer external experience, bringing new ideas and concepts. We have taken designs through to prototype manufacture and assembly to help our clients develop their solutions.

Our wealth of experience from a broad range of sectors means that we can transfer proven ideas to find innovative solutions in new applications. We can translate these ideas into fully detailed manufacturing drawings enabling you to chose your own route for cost effective manufacture. We have helped clients to find and assess manufacturing partners for their projects as well as assisting through the build, commissioning and testing phases.

Through our extensive experience of designing and developing complex machines we have built a wealth of knowledge on the safety and legislative aspects of machine design. When the UK was still part of the EU, Eadon had responsibility for the CE marking of complex assemblies such as moving bridges, wind turbines and access equipment. This experience included compliance with relevant legislation, such as the Machineries Directive (Safety of Machinery (CE Marking) as well as LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) and PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations). Since leaving the EU, we can still design equipment in accordance with the machinery directive ready for CE marking, or we can sign the declaration of conformity/incorporation for equipment designed against the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008, in order to place a UKCA mark on it for equipment to be sold into the UK market.
