Eadon Consulting is pleased to be assisting Network Rail with its railway upgrade plan as it looks to renew some of the operating components on three historical Norfolk swing bridges.

Eadon will be carrying out inspections of the Reedham, Somerleyton and Oulton Broad swing bridges. All three bridges were built over 100 years ago and parts of the mechanical equipment have started to create reliability issues. Following the inspections, we will produce a report and present Network Rail with options on how to improve the mechanisms.

The improvements to the bridges aim to provide safe operation and better reliability that’s easier to maintain for the next 25 years.
